A Little About Me

Hey everyone! I’m Nash Hall. I’ll be writing this bio in the first person. Third person sounds so snooty, you know! I was born in Guyana, a tiny country in South America; but, I’m currently based in New York City. I freelance as an editor, colorist, motion designer and VFX artist for clients and I usually direct my own media content. I enjoy photography and writing as well. I work exclusively with industry standard Adobe software; and, I’m highly proficient with Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop. I also use several high-end plugins to efficiently optimize my workflow.

When it comes to film, my personal style includes fast paced dramatic plots, exploration of the mental psyche, vibrant use of color and light, cinematic story sequences, and, my creative directing technique is further influenced by the works of Alfred Hitchcock, Ridley Scott, Tony Scott, David Fincher and Christopher Nolan. But,  J.J. Abrams and Michael Bay are favorites too. I love comedy, as well, and Seth Rogen, Charlie Day and Seinfeld are huge inspirations. Todd Phillips and Seth MacFarlane are my favorite comedy film directors.

My graphic design skills range from simple minimalist designs to advanced motion graphics. I love to brainstorm and innovate creatively; and, my graphic design abilities are only limited by imagination.

I’m a firm supporter of the web platform and advocate the use of technology and social media to propel the careers of emerging artists. Sometimes, I’m involved in educational workshops with Google and their YouTube platform. Filmmaking and Editing are my passions and I would like to work for a top motion picture studio some day.
